Beginnings with Rick Olson

Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Rick started his career in Palm Beach County as a real estate associate with the Coral Gables based real estate developer, investor and mentor, Norman Rosen. Following the first year of work with Rosen, the relationship quickly evolved into a long-standing friendship and 22-year partnership with many successful ventures. Since that time, Olson has served as President of many successful companies, offering an impressive varied portfolio of businesses and harmonious real estate developments. 
 
The YourLife™ name and brand were designed, created, and implemented by Rick Olson after years of research with leading universities specializing in Alzheimer’s. His passion and determination to create YourLife stemmed from a deeply personal experience. After his father was diagnosed with dementia, Rick saw the difficulties and emotional strain the disease imposed on families and their loved ones. This experience fueled his commitment to creating a premiere memory care community that not only provides exceptional care, but also fosters a supportive and enriching environment for residents and their families.

People living with this disease deserve to live and thrive in a rich environment that provides a safe and comfortable space, enhancing every aspect of their lives. Our mission is to deliver these services to our residents.

The first YourLife™ senior living community opened in early 2014 in Pensacola, Florida, with the goal of implementing practices that improve the lives of people with brain diseases, which present in many different ways. There are over 100 forms of dementia with Alzheimer’s being the most well-known.

The Pensacola community was thoughtfully designed and built with 85 memory care beds, offering a first-class environment with a beautifully landscaped courtyard for residents and their families to enjoy and spend time together. The community features three distinctive full kitchens and dining areas called “neighborhoods,” in addition to a full living room and outdoor covered porch area, designed to be an extension of their home.

Thoughtfully designed and built with 95 memory care beds, offering the same first-class amenities, including a landscaped courtyard, four distinctive kitchens and dining areas, a full living room, and an outdoor covered porch.

Following these openings, YourLife expanded to West Melbourne and Coconut Creek, Florida, with each new building advancing the interior designs and environments to further elevate our residents quality of life.
